I tuoi diritti

Privacy notice

Last updated: 14 October 2026

StrategyCheck is a service of Horizon Strategies (“Horizon”). Here we explain what data we collect, why, and for how long. We don't sell data and we don't show third-party ads.

Data controller

Horizon Strategies, which runs StrategyCheck and its calculation engine.

What we collect

The strategies you submit. When you write or paste a strategy we keep the rule as we interpreted it and the test results. When you paste a video link we keep the link, not who pasted it.

Your email address, only if you give it to be told when an instrument, a timeframe or the Pro plan becomes available. We use it for that one notice.

Name, email, chosen date, the strategy to re-run and your consent, with the date of consent, only if you set up a scheduled re-test.

Your account, if you create one: your email; your password, which we never see (Supabase, which handles sign-in, stores it encrypted); if you sign in with Google, the name and email Google passes on; your name, if you give it; your language. With an account we keep your check history: the rule as we interpreted it, market, timeframe, verdict and date.

Your choices: when you accept the Terms, confirm you're an adult, or give (or withdraw) consent, we record what you chose, when, from which page and on which version of the texts. That's how we can prove consent, as the GDPR requires.

Counting free checks and examples. To count use without an account we use a random identifier in a technical cookie (sc_vid) and two codes our server derives from your IP address and browser. These codes are pseudonymous: without a secret key that only we hold, they don't lead back to the address, and we don't store the IP address itself.

Technical data. Our hosting provider logs IP address and browser of visitors for security. We measure visits with anonymous, aggregated statistics (Vercel Web Analytics): no cookies, the address isn't stored, no cross-site tracking. Cookies and tools are listed in the cookie policy.

Why, and on what basis

To give you the verdict you asked for and run your account: performance of the service you requested, under the Terms.

To count free checks and examples and stop a few people from using them up for everyone: our legitimate interest, kept to the minimum (pseudonymous codes, kept briefly).

To keep proof of your choices: a duty the GDPR places on us (being able to demonstrate consent) and our legitimate interest in defending the service.

To email you StrategyCheck news and offers: only with your consent to updates, which is optional and can be withdrawn any time from the Account page.

Profiling: only with your separate, optional consent. If you give it, we use the strategies you test, the markets you're interested in and how you use the service to suggest tailored content, alerts and offers (for example similar strategies, or markets we've just added). Without this consent we build no profile of you. You can withdraw it any time from the Account page.

Anonymous, aggregated visit statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding how the service is used so we can improve it. Being anonymous, cookie-free and not linked across sites, they fall among the tools the Italian data protection authority exempts from consent.

For our research and to improve the service, on the strategies submitted (not on data that identifies you): our legitimate interest, also stated in the Terms.

Videos and third-party services

For YouTube links the video is analysed by a Google AI model (Gemini) to extract the rule. Public video links may also feed Horizon's own research.

If we can't read a rule you wrote and you ask us to suggest a testable version (“Suggest one for me”), the text you wrote is read by the same model (Gemini) to work out the suggestion. This only happens when you ask: the text isn't published and doesn't go to Horizon's research.

We rely on Vercel (site hosting and anonymous visit statistics), Supabase (database and sign-in), Google Cloud (calculation engine, europe-west1 region) and Google (video analysis, rule suggestions when you ask for them and, if you choose it, Google sign-in). Some may process data outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

What becomes public

If the rule comes from an already public video, its verdict may get a public page, indexable by Google, showing the rule as we interpreted it. It carries neither the name of whoever published the video nor of whoever pasted it.

If you write the rule by hand, the text stays private: it does not appear on the wall or on Google. It only enters the statistics.

How long we keep it

Strategies and verdicts, without data that identifies you, are kept with no expiry: they are the corpus of the service. Email, name and consent stay for as long as they serve the purpose you gave them for, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your account, its history and the record of your choices stay until you delete it, which you can do any time from the Account page, with immediate effect. The codes used to count use without an account are deleted after 35 days; cookie-banner choices made without an account after 13 months. If you delete your account, until the end of that month we keep only a one-way hash of your email address and how many checks you had used, so that signing up again doesn't reset the count; then it's deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante: garanteprivacy.it).

If you have an account, the Account page lets you download your data, change your consents and delete your account yourself, straight away. Cookie preferences can be changed from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. For anything else, use the contact details on the Horizon Strategies website.
